Solstice Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
Solstice is designed to be local-first. Your sobriety trackers, check-ins, reset history, reasons, savings goals, and journal entries are stored on your device.
No account or email login
Solstice does not ask you to create an account, enter an email address, or sign in. The app creates an anonymous device identifier so the coach service and subscription checks can recognize the app installation.
Data that stays on your device
Your tracking data and journal entries stay on your device. Solstice does not send journal entries or tracker history to the Solstice API for syncing.
Coach messages
If you use the AI coach, your coach message and the context you have allowed are sent to the Solstice API, which forwards the request to Anthropic to generate a response. Coach memory can be turned off in the app; when it is off, the coach receives only your current message and basic active-tracker information.
Reported coach responses
If you report a coach response, Solstice stores the reported coach message text and the reported message timestamp. Reports are stored without a user ID, account, email address, or tracker context.
Subscriptions
Solstice Plus subscriptions are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. Solstice uses RevenueCat to check subscription status and restore purchases.
Analytics and crash reporting
Solstice does not include analytics SDKs or crash-reporting SDKs.
Crisis resources
Solstice shows crisis and substance-use support resources, including 988, SAMHSA, and 911. These links are provided for quick access to human help.
